Free Online VTT to ASS Converter
This converter reads WebVTT cue blocks and writes a complete basic ASS document. VTT timing becomes ASS centiseconds, cue line breaks become ASS line-break codes, and each cue uses a single Default style. Cue settings are discarded, while text is carried through without translating VTT inline tags into ASS override tags.
Input Format
VTTVTT (WebVTT) is a text subtitle format used with web video. Cues contain dot-separated timestamps, optional identifiers, optional cue settings, and one or more text lines. This parser recognizes timestamped cue blocks; NOTE blocks and cues without valid timing or text are skipped.
Output Format
ASSASS (Advanced SubStation Alpha v4+) is a sectioned text subtitle format. This converter generates [Script Info], [V4+ Styles], and [Events] sections with one Default Arial 20 style and a 1920x1080 play resolution. Source VTT styling and positioning are not mapped.
